Who Is A Better Songwriter? Lennon or McCartney?

Excuse me, but

Are you asking me if one of two different people are better than each other? Is there a Universal Answer to your question? Are you lowering their standards? Please re-phrase the question into something more clearer like,

Who do you think is a better songwriter?

If you really want to know who is better, try asking yourself, "Which is the better color? Red or Blue?" or "Which number is better? 4 or 5?" or "Who is better at being smart? Me or you?"

Yes, I'm tired of thoughtless questions, especially if they're given at interviews, and the person is stuck with answering the question.

~*~*~*~

Anyway, my answer would be: They both wrote good songs. They both helped each other out. Songs that The Beatles wrote and created will be far more BETTER than any other songs written out there. Truthfully, this would be generally (& personally) accepted because not many times "in my life" have I been told that they should have changed a lyric here or there to "make it better."

Something Wrong With Liking The Beatles Too Much??

I have been troubled with people telling me that there is more to life than just The Beatles.

Oh, like what?

As if the thought is going to help me out in liking The Beatles less, and obsess over something else.

Why change me?
Why change who I am?
I love The Beatles, and that's it.

THE BEATLES CHANGED MY LIFE, GODDAMMIT.

Personalities of Beatles Fans by Each Beatle

Paul fans: The most friendliest and loving of all fans. I have never known a Paul fan who lashed out in anger about something. They always mended it to make it better. Though some can be troubled.. (Friend of mine said Paul fans are melancholy and "fucked up" or in other words, "depressed romantics").

John fans: Can be either really calm or spiteful. I know this because I've known them. They try to be as witty as John making quick funny remarks, talk about how peace should affect the world, or they become cynical and hate the world, and everybody else. They can also be seclusive).

George fans: This is a toughie. George fans are a weird bunch. To me, they are. They tend to have strong crushes/fandom with other personalities, or movies/music/books/tv as well. Ones who are strongly obsessed even come to realize that they want to be part of the Hare Krishna movement as well. They always point out how George was overlooked, and they try to prove how great George was and is to them.

Ringo fans: There are not much of them but these fans are very laid-back people. Some can be wacky, wild, but fun.

Why did The Beatles Break Up?

In simple reasons,

* Financial problems. The Beatles brought it in by hiring... Allen Klein as their manager. How about that? He fucked up a lot of shit.

* They got tired of each other. The band was falling apart, and they knew it. No more cute boy band. They were growing up. They needed to be with their wives, and not with each other. It was time for them to hit puberty, and they did. Face it, their egos were getting too big to fit in one room. Heck, if it wasn't for Ringo's nose and their big egos, they probably couldn't even fit Yoko in.

* No, it wasn't all Yoko's fault. All that Yoko DID do was be with John. Beatles fans no likey that. Beatles fans don't want scary-looking hideous ear-piercing shrieking Asian chick to be with their beloved Beatle John. You know what? Blame John, for all I know. Why was anyone afraid to kick her out? If she didn't stay, then John wouldn't either? Think about it.
~YOKO FUCKED UP THE BEATLES.
~YOKO FUCKED WITH JOHN.
~YOKO FUCKING RULES.
and
~YOKO IS THE MOST HATED PERSON IN THE BEATLES CIRCLE.

But do you really think that a woman who was invited by John and asked her to stay with him during the sessions really broke them up? Did she just come up to them and say "Hey, 4 fools, let me stay here, and break you up, so all The Beatles fans will hate me forever! Muahaha."

CONCLUSION:

Remember and look at these words: The Beatles Broke Themselves Up
They did not WANT to be together, so they broke up. Simple. Period.

We all want someone to blame, but don't blame the innocents. Look at the whole story first and try to pull out the truths. As Celia said, "it was a group effort". The Beatles were in divorce.

Dissection of the Beatles Fans in Groups

So, I was thinking: Are there different types of Beatles fans? By George, what do you mean!

Yes, there are different types. As I have said, I think there might be 3 kinds. Let me explain it to you.

  1. One-time Beatles fan. This b.f. may like The Beatles just one time in their lifetime, maybe like them again in the future, but, that's it.
  2. Beatles fan who does anything Beatley just because The Beatles are a fine group!
  3. Beatles fans who are extremely, to the core, (Apple Core), obsessed who call themselves "Apple Scruffs", "Beatles Lovers", or "John" themselves. (Far more dangerous and rare).

The One-Time Beatles fan.
To me, I think this Beatles fan may have been either 2 or 3 a big-time fan in their lifetime, but then they into other stuff -- like for example: liking different bands, just not interested in them anymore, or they got a life and just have no time to obsess or like a band anymore.

The Beatles Follower..
This can be the friendly type of Beatles fan. They will share what they know, and will accept what you know. They are everywhere and will attend Beatles Fests, Beatles Events, Beatles Showings. Anyone can fit into this category. (But remember - just liking one song doesn't make you an automatic "fan".)

The Beatles Obsessor:
This type may be far more dangerous than any other type. Why, do you ask? This person may think he or she IS the re-incarnation of John, or thinks that the group they will make will be bigger THAN THE BEATLES. (Not pointing to Oasis... or am I?) Also, you may notice that this person has made most nearly thousands of Beatley landmarks or herself or himself on the web. eg. making fansites, stating their love for The Beatles everywhere, commenting on any Beatley blogpost there is. This person may also be a nuisance for sharing their knowledge of all things Beatles. They will attend to as most Beatley events as they can, friend anyone who's a Beatles fan, and will buy, post, do anything Beatles-wise. This is me, or partly.

Who may you be? 1, 2, or 3? Or do you fit in between one of these categories? You may choose your pick on the comment box below or disagree with me, if you'd like. Quench my thirst with your knowledge!
